Donation for flood victims

LAHORE: The Pakistan Tobacco Company (PTC) donated food to flood victims in Sindh on Sunday.

Trucks loaded with food were handed over to Federal Health Minister Muhammad Naseer Khan. These items would be given to Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Ali Muhammad Khan Mehr, according to a press release.

The federal health minister said the federal government had taken steps to help the flood victims in Karachi and Badin districts. The Sindh CM appreciated the PTC and private sector’s contributions the relief of flood victims in the district. Mr Mehr added that his government would do all it can to combat the floods. PTC Business Relations Manager Shahid Hamid and Regional Manager Usman Zahur handed over the trucks on behalf of the PTC and said that as a responsible corporation, the PTC has always been committed to providing assistance to victims of natural calamites.
