‘People should unite for peace’
LAHORE: Faisalabad Bishop Joseph Coutts, who is also Caritas Pakistan’s national director, said on Thursday united efforts could lead the country to peace and reconciliation.
He said in a press note that unless the people were united, no external force could harm the solidarity of the country. He said the allied forces were successful in Afghanistan, after local groups started fighting with each other; but the case was totally different in Iraq as the allied forces tried their best to divide Kurds and Shias but failed. He said the people should shun their internal differences and work together for the promotion of peace and reconciliation in Pakistan. —Staff Report
