Desalination plant to be built in Baldia

KARACHI: The city district government of Karachi (CDGK) is taking concrete measures to enhance the water resources of the metropolis and a desalination plant will be installed, Karachi Nazim Naimatullah Khan said at the Al-Badar Public School in Baldia Town.

Mr Khan said the CDGK did not have enough resources to tackle all of Karachis’s problems, but it was doing its best to improve the situation.

Referring to the water shortage in Baldia, he said that a committee has been formed look into the problem. It will consist of the Baldia Town nazim, and the executive district officer and DO for water and sanitation. Baldia Town Nazim Aurangzeb Khan, and the patron of the school, Amir Tariq, also spoke on the occasion. —APP
