4 killed in Indian shelling on LoC
MUZAFFARABAD: Four people, including two children, were killed and one wounded by Indian shelling along the Line of control, police said on Thursday. An 11-year-old boy and his 13-year-old sister died instantly in a village in the district of Kotli when troops fired from the Indian-controlled part of the disputed region on Wednesday night, police said.
Mohammad Razzaq, a senior police official in Kotli, said two men were also killed in another village in the district. Razzaq said Kotli came under heavy Indian mortar and artillery fire and Pakistani troops retaliated. Pakistani and Indian troops regularly exchange fire across the Line of Control, a ceasefire line that divides the territory between their two countries. —Reuters
