602 deported from Oman arrive

KARACHI: Hundreds of Pakistanis arrived in Karachi on Wednesday after Oman deported them for immigration violations, an official said.

The 602 deportees disembarked from a cargo ship at the city’s harbour after having been arrested in Oman for illegal entry and working without permission, said Nazar Hussain, an inspector with the Federal Investigation Agency. The FIA will release the deportees after interrogating them to find out whether human traffickers were involved in taking them to Oman, said Mr Hussain. ap
