Warne banned... from roads

Daily Times Report

London: Ace Australian spinner Shane Warne has been banned from driving on British roads for three months for exceeding speed limits nearly two years ago.

The blonde leggie was found to be driving at 120 miles per hour (192 kph) on the M1 motorway in Derbyshire in July, 2000.

The case had earlier been adjourned nine times because of problems in serving papers on Warne who was also involved in a scandalous affair with a British nurse around the same time two years ago.

The 32-year-old Warne was fined 300 pounds with 50 pounds costs after admitting to the offence in a letter to the magistrate at Ilkeston yesterday.Warne wrote: “I thank you for your patience. I’m sorry I was going too fast in your country. I love playing cricket in England”.
