Prime minister to open housing project tomorrow
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Monday will inaugurate a pilot housing project in sector G-11/4 for low paid government employees on self-finance basis.
Housing and Works Minister Syed Safwanullah said on Saturday that the project would ease the housing problems and create jobs in the housing sector. The project is based on the concept of hire–purchase system and apartments will be handed over to government employees within two years of their completion. Safwanullah said applications would be sought from employees soon. The project will be followed by the construction of 1,000 such units in provincial capitals and sector G-13 and Sector G-14, he added. staff report
