Police arrest three, seize arms cache

QUETTA: The police arrested on Saturday three people and seized a huge cache of weapons from them including hand grenades, kalashnikovs and pistols.
Superintendent of Police (CIA) Wazir Khan Nasir said the weapons had been used in bomb blasts and rocket firing incidents in the province. The three suspects were Lal Muhammad Bugti, Waryam Bugti and Amir Bukhsh Sailachi. Another suspect was an employee from the Excise and Taxation Department.
Among the weapons seized were 100 hand grenades, 204 explosive rods, 486 bullets, 97 rocket fuses, 4,400 kalashnikov bullets, three kalashnikovs, 15 kalashnikov magazines, two pistols, four pistol magazines, 26 remote control circuits, 48 hand grenade fuses and 300 detonators.
Khan said the ammunition found would have been used for criminal activities in the city, adding that more arrests would follow depending on the clues provided by the suspects.
