PAC eulogises Hayat’s services
LAHORE: The Punjab Arts Council (PAC) has paid great tributes to late Hayat Ahmad Khan, the former chairman of All Pakistan Music Conference, for his services in the promotion of classical music.
A condolence meeting was held at the council’s head office on Wednesday that was presided over by Khawaja Tahir Jameel, the council’s executive director.
Council officials vowed to continue late Hayat’s annual programme, All Pakistan Music Conference, which is held at Open Air Theatre every year. Later, they offered fateha for him.
Japan honours late Hayat Ahmed Khan with award: The Japanese government gave a special award to late Hayat Ahmed Khan, the Pakistan-Japan Cultural Association (PJCA) president, for promoting cultural relations between the two countries. Minister Hiroshi Azuma presented the award to Khan’s daughters at the Japanese embassy. Yuku Tsutsumi, the first secretary, was also present. Khan was held in high esteem for his efforts to promote relations between Japan and Pakistan. staff report
