Two found dead, boy commits suicide

KARACHI: Police found two bodies with their throats slit in different parts of the city on Sunday, while a 15-year old youth committed suicide after being snubbed by his parents. Mohammad Zahid Aslam, 24, a resident of Jackson Area, had been missing for the last two days. His body was found at the docks on Sunday afternoon. His throat and wrists had been slit, and he had died two days ago, the police claimed. Another body was found in Rizvia Society. The deceased was a 35-year-old man whose throat had been slit. The dead body was two days old, the police claimed. A 15-year old, Mohammad Shafique, committed suicide after being reprimanded by his parents for failing an exam. Shafiq, a resident of Korangi Industrial area hanged himself from a ceiling fan while his parents had gone to meet relatives. Factory burnt: A packaging factory, near Hub River Road, burnt down due to short-circuiting on Sunday evening. The Fire Brigade Department sent 12 fire engines, which extinguished the fire after three hours. FIA arrests: The Federal Investigation Agency offloaded two passengers from a London bound flight, PK-787, as they were travelling on fake documents. The two men, Mohammad Nasim and Kashif Majeed, are residents of Gujranwala. FIA Immigration authorities have handed them over to the FIA passport cell. —Staff Report
