Cash and valuables worth Rs 1m robbed

ISLAMABAD: Three people were robbed in the federal capital in separate incidents on Tuesday.
In the first incident, which occurred in the fruit and vegetable market, four armed men robbed a salesman of a cooking oil mill. The miscreants broke into Fazal Vegetable Oil Mills outlet and took Rs 500,000 after locking the mill’s staff and customers in a room. Despite police presence, the men managed to escape from the scene.
The traders in the market protested against the incident and lambasted the police for not catching them, especially when the police was informed in time.
In Rawal Town, three armed men broke into Kashif Khan’s house when the family was having dinner and took gold, cash and other valuables worth Rs 300,000.
At Sara-e-Kharboza, three men snatched Javed Mahmood’s car when he was returning home. The men stopped him at gunpoint and took his car, cash and a gold ring. Police filed separate cases.
