Gas leak kills five in Skardu

GILGIT: Five people of a family suffocated to death because of a gas leak while they slept in their home in Aliabad in Skardu district on Monday night.

The victims were identified as Khadija and her four daughters: 12-year-old Tayabba, 8-year-old Sana, 10-year-old Momi and 3-year-old Bushra. A 14-year-old boy, however, miraculously survived. Police said the gas leak occurred because the family did not turn off the gas cylinder before sleeping. online
