Unique Hafiz-e-Quran boy fascinates reception

LAHORE: An Iranian boy (11) who learnt the Holy Quran by heart (Hafiz-e-Quran) by the age of six, fascinated people at a reception arranged by Iranian Consulate General Muhammad Khodadi.
The reception was held at Hotel Avari to observe the 126th Allama Iqbal Day, to honour the dignitaries of Lahore, and to celebrate the friendship of Iran and Pakistan.
The child Hafiz-e-Quran Mahyar Hussain Pur and another Huffaz-e-Quran team who were invited to the reception are on tour in Pakistan.
The Alfalk group has three branches in Iran in the cities of, Qum, Mashad and Isfhan.
The unique child displays a special skill in learning the Holy Quran by heart. He has learnt the Holy Quran of recognized publishers Usman Taha and he can tell the people which verse of the Holy Quran was printed on which page and line. The people asked about many verses to check his claim, which he not only recited but also told the references of verses, accurately. The people asked the Iranian authorities to protect Hafiz Pur and his skills to serve Islam.
“Hafiz Pur had gained many distinctions in reciting the Holy Quran and came first in a recitation competition held in Saudi Arabia,” his father said.
His father said that Hafiz Pur would participate in a competition of the Holy Quran recitation held at Khan-e-Farhan-e-Iran Cultural Centre on Monday and the Iranian group Alfalk would visit other provincial cities of the country.
Iranian and Pakistani officials attended the reception.
