CIA arrests car and motorcycle thieves

LAHORE: The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) Sadar division has arrested 11 men, involved in car and motorcycle thefts seizing vehicles and illegal weapons.

A CIA team arrested seven members of ‘Chan Badshah’ car gang, Suleman alias Chan Badshah, Amir Miraj, Hasan Akbar alias Iftikhar alias Foji, Nadeem Khan, Muhammad Arif, Ali Mohsin and Rana Muhammad Khalid. The men confessed to 20 car thefts in various parts of Garden Town, Gulshan-e-Ravi, Shafiqabad and Lower Mall. The police also seized seven cars and a wagon from their possession.

Another CIA team arrested two members of ‘Yasir Butt’ motorcycle gang, Yasir Butt and Sabir Ali, but their accomplice Shahbaz Masih was still at large. The men confessed 16 motorcycle thefts during the investigation.

Two members of ‘Ishfaq’ motorcycle gang were arrested by a CIA team. The men were identified as gang leader Abdul Hinan alias Ishfaq and Shafqat Ali, but their accomplice Ghaffar alias Qamar could not be arrested. The men confessed to about 72 motorcycle robberies in the city.
