Jamali wants to continue talks with opposition
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Zafarullah Jamali on Monday said the government wants to continue dialogue with the opposition after failure of the no-confidence motion against the NA speaker.
He was talking to NWFP Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani and JUI MNA Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani who called on him at the PM’s House here. The country’s political situation, the process of talks with the opposition and good working relationship between the Centre and the NWFP were discussed in the meeting. Mr Durrani also discussed the NFC Award and electricity royalty. Mr Jamali called for political dialogue between the government and opposition for the smooth running of parliament. He requested the opposition leaders to withdraw the no-confidence motion against the deputy NA speaker. The leaders agreed to discuss the request with their leaders. —APP
