PML-N women go on hunger strike

Staff Report

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) womens’ wing on Monday staged a token hunger strike against the expected exile of Party President Mian Shahbaz Sharif’s family.

The hunger strike was staged in front of the Rawalpindi Press Club. Womens’ Wing Chairperson Ishrat Ashraf, Additional Secretary General Jaffar Iqbal, Punjab Womens’ Wing President Najma Hameed protested against the government in their speeches.

They said the forced deportation and search operation by the police in the Sharif family’s houses was a blatant violation of human rights and the law of the land.
