CBR collects Rs 348.4b in ten months

ISLAMABAD: The Central Board of Revenue says it achieved its revenue target for the first ten months of the current fiscal year as Rs 348.4 billion were reported as provisional collection by April 30 which was equal to the target.

CBR expects that the collection would marginally exceed the target when the revenue collection figures upto the 30th April are finalized in the next 10 days or so.

The CBR collection of Rs 348.4 billion upto 30th April marks an improvement of almost 14% as compared to collection of last year when the revenue realization was Rs. 306.1 billion.

The provincial revenue figure for April is Rs. 38.1 billion. This compares favourably with the collection of Rs. 36.3 billion during April last year.

The break down of provisional figures for April indicates collection of Rs 14.7 billion as sales tax Rs 7.5 billion as customs duty, Rs 3.9 billion as CED and Rs 12 billion as income tax.
