PM pledges to find people missing in Sindh operations
KARACHI: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Sunday assured the families of reportedly missing persons that he would trace out their relatives if they were alive.
The prime minister was at Governor’s House, addressing members of 28 families whose relatives have reportedly been missing for the last eight to ten years after previous operations in Sindh.
Prime Minister Aziz listened to the story of every family individually and said he had been comprehensively briefed by Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad about their ordeals. Members of the affected families spoke of their suffering because of the absence of their bread winners.
“I realise the sufferings you have passed through for the last so many years. We will resolve this problem. This is a complex problem and we will examine it,” he said. The prime minister said he would keep in touch with them through the Sindh governor. Prime Minister Aziz assured the families that the government would handle the matter sincerely and would ask the Sindh governor and the chief minister to use all resources available to help these families find their relatives. app
