Leghari, Elahi discuss organisation of PML

Staff Report

LAHORE: The development policy of the Punjab government is based on the provision of equal opportunities to all the areas of Punjab, said Pervaiz Elahi, the Punjab chief minister while talking to Sardar Farooq Ahmed Khan Leghari, a former president of Pakistan, on Sunday.

The two leaders discussed the organisation of the Pakistan Muslim League’s (PML) and development projects in the province. Mr Elahi said that the PML was being organised at the gross-root level.

Hamayun Akhtar Khan, the federal trade minister, also called on the chief minister and discussed trade policies, industrial development and other economic issues.

Mr Elahi said that a programme was being implemented to increase investment and to accelerate industrial development.

He said that government institutions were strengthening the industrial sector and industries were playing an important role in increasing the exports of Pakistan. He said that industrialists from various countries had shown interest in strengthening trade relations with Punjab.
