4 Palestinians killed by Israeli fire in Gaza
GAZA STRIP: Two Hamas fighters and two Palestinian teenagers were killed by Israeli troops in the Gaza Strip on Friday as the army pressed on with an operation it says is aimed at stopping attacks on Jewish settlements.
An Israeli helicopter fired a rocket on Khan Younis refugee camp, killing Khaled Abu Udeh, 40, and Mohammed Kharis, 25, identified by Hamas as local leaders of its armed wing the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades. The army said it had fired at three fighters after spotting them laying explosives on a path used by troops. Their deaths brought the toll of Israel’s operation in the Khan Younis area to 11 killed since Wednesday. afp
