USAID to give Rs 22m to Punjab govt: Heath

LAHORE: The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has approved Rs 22 million in grant for ten Punjab government projects, said Brian Heath, the principal US consulate officer in Lahore.

He said this at a ceremony organised by the Rural Support Programme Network (RSPN) and the Punjab Rural Support Programme (PRSP) on Friday.

Heath said that the programme would enable the local governments to generate resources by competing for USAID grants and by mobilising corporate and private resources.
