Fuel prices up

KARACHI: The Oil Regulatory Authority of the oil companies, the Oil Companies Advisory Committee, (OCAC) on Friday raised the prices of petrol and other petroleum products for the period between Jan 1 and 15, an OCAC press release said.
The price of petrol was increased by 89 paisas per litre to Rs 40.39 per litre, from Rs 39.50. The price of HOBC rose by 86 paisas, from Rs 43.73 per litre to Rs 44.59. The price of kerosene rose from Rs 25.50 to Rs 26.04 per litre. The price of light diesel oil is up from Rs 22.41 per litre to Rs 22.92 per litre. At the same time, a spokesman for Pakistan State Oil said the company had increased the price of high speed diesel to Rs 26.21 per litre, from Rs 25.96.
