Malala wins 2012 Tipperary International Peace Award

ISLAMABAD: Malala Yousufzai has been awarded the 2012 Tipperary International Peace Award for her courage and determination to speak out in support of equal access to education for every child. Malala was one of the five nominees, including US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, Indian National Congress President Sonia Gandhi and former Kenyan journalist John Githongo. Former prime minister Benazir Bhutto was awarded the Tipperary Peace Award in 2007. app
