US drone strike kills four in Miranshah

MIRANSHAH: A US drone strike killed four suspected terrorists and wounded three others on Friday in North Waziristan, intelligence officials and militants said. The remotely piloted aircraft targeted a residential compound used by terrorists in Miranshah, a Pakistan Taliban commander said. “The four dead are local Taliban militants,” an intelligence official told Reuters. “Two missiles hit a house and four militants were killed,” a security official told AFP. “The attack took place at about 3:00am.” Witnesses said the attack triggered a fire, which destroyed the building.
