ZTBL win National Women’s Cricket Championship

ISLAMABAD: Nain Abdi scored a brillinat century as Zarai Tarqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) defeated Higher Education Commission (HEC) by 181 runs in the final to win the 7th National Women’s Cricket Championship at Diamond Ground here on Saturday. ZTBL, batting first, scored 331 runs in 50 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Nain hammered 104 runs off 88 balls laced with 10 fours and 3 sixes and was ably assisted by Bismah Maroof (71), Sana Mir (69) and Qanita Jalil (64). Sukhan Fiaz took 2-71. In reply, HEC were all out for 150 runs in 36.3 overs. Sukhan Faiz was the top scorer with unbeaten 28 runs. Sana Mir of ZTBL was declared the best batswoman and player of the tournament. Nain Abdi (ZTBL) was declared the best fielder, Madhiya Rajput (Lahore) was adjudged the best wicketkeeper while Elizbeth Khan (Lahore) earned the best bowler award.
