Kabul must share evidence before levelling charges: FO

ISLAMABAD: Reacting to the Afghan president’s veiled allegation that the suicide attack on the country’s spy chief was planned in Pakistan, the Foreign Office said Afghanistan must share evidence before levelling allegations. Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman said in a statement issued by the Foreign Office on Saturday that Pakistan, on its part, is ready to assist any investigation into this criminal action. Commenting on the statement of President Hamid Karzai, the FO spokesman said that the Afghan government would also do well by ordering an investigation into any lapses in the security arrangements around the head of the National Directorate of Security. He said that before levelling charges against Pakistan, the Afghan government should share information or evidence with the Pakistani government regarding the attack. He added Islamabad was ready to offer any type of assistance to the Afghan government in investigating the attack. agencies
