Punjab Assembly session called


LAHORE: Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa has summoned Punjab Assembly session for 27th (Monday). Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan will chair the 40th assembly session.
According to parliamentary sources, the session will continue for at least a week and is expected to be a busy one as the government plans to discuss several business-related issues as well as some special bills. The sources said that the provincial government plans to table the following bills in the coming session: Punjab Service Tribunals (Amendment) Bill 2012 and the Punjab Local Government (Fourth Amendment) Bill 2012.
Side by side, the treasury plans to lay an ordinance, The Punjab Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues Ordinance 2012, as well as three bills, including The Women University Multan (Amendment) Bill 2012, The Public Sector Unversities (Amendment) Bill 2012 and The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore (Amendment) Bill 2012, the sources said. staff report
