ISLAMABAD: Unidentified men stormed a Hindu temple in Peshawar on Sunday evening, police said.

The attackers burnt images and took away idols from the temple in the Gor Gattri area, police said. They fled the scene after the incident. No immediate claim of responsibility was made.

The custodian of the temple said it was the third such attack. He told police that when he arrived at the temple, he found around eight men burning images and sacred books. Members of Hindu community expressed concern over the incident and demanded immediate action against the miscreants. online
