Zardari appreciates ZTE interest in expanding business

KARACHI: President Asif Ali Zardari appreciated Zhongxing Telecom’s (ZTE) interest in further expanding their business in Pakistan reiterating that the government will provide all possible facilitation to the foreign investors. He expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of ZTE headed by Senior Vice President Zhang RenJun, who called on the president at Bilawal House Karachi on Monday. RenJun was accompanied by President South East Asia Luo PingFan, ZTE Pakistan CEO Peng Aiguang and ZTE Executive Director Najeeb Sadiq. Federal Ministers Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Senator A Rehman Malik, Naveed Qamar and Dr Asim were also present during the meeting besides other senior officials of the concerned departments. Spokesperson to the president Senator Farhatullah Babar was also present. Briefing about the meeting Spokesperson to the President Senator Farhatullah Babar said that RenJun briefed the president about his company’s business in Pakistan in the telecom sector. The president said that Pakistan offered excellent investment and business opportunities and would welcome Chinese investment in all the sectors especially in introduction of the latest telecom technology.
