KP govt disqualifies Dr Shakil Afridi for job
PESHAWAR: The provincial government has disqualified Dr Shakil Afridi for employment for involvement in a fake vaccination survey to reach Osama bin Laden.
The US had confirmed that Dr Afridi had worked for the CIA in Abbottabad. His survey team, including 15 lady health workers (LHV), were also declared not fit for any future employment.
The survey team was involved in compiling information about the presence of al Qaeda chief Osama bin laden in Abbottabad.
According to sources, it was expected that their names would be included in the Exit Control List (ECL). Whereas, all the assets, including bank accounts of Dr Shakil Afridi and his family, had been seized.
Court trials against Dr Afridi would be started after the permission of the government. Dr Afridi would be tried under treason charges.
While the disqualified LHVs included Amina Yasmin Rostum, Mukhtar Saleem, Kausar Waheed, Naseem Tariq, Mumtaz Shamus, Gulfrar Khatoon, Naseema Akhtar, Razyia Bibi, Rehana, Yasmin Lal Khan Chand Bibi, Farzana and Ferhat Naheed. online
