Fiza Gilani meets with PPAF officials

Staff Report

ISLAMABAD: The financial inclusion of women through micro financing is fundamental for eradication of poverty in the country Goodwill Ambassador for Women Empowerment, Fiza Batool Gilani said on Wednesday “Better access to finance not only increases economic growth, but also helps fight poverty, and reduces income gaps between the rich and the poor people,” she said.

Fiza expressed these views while getting a briefing from the officials of Pakistan Microfinance Network and Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF).

The goodwill ambassador said that women can become economically empowered through the provision of small loans and work opportunities and expressed the need for inclusion of women at policy-making levels in industry and institutions so that their rights can be better protected.
