JI terms MFN status to India disloyalty with Kashmiris

ISLAMABAD: Scores of Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) activists here on Friday staging a protest demonstration in front of National Press Club against the government’s decision to confer Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status to India as tantamount for disloyalty with Kashmiris and demanded of the government to withdraw it forthwith in the larger interest of country.
The participants, carrying placards and banners inscribed with anti-government slogans, castigated the ruling alliance for taking decision against wishes of countrymen as well as Kashmiris. They were of the view that trade with India would prove disastrous for the national economy and security.
Addressing on the occasion, former MNA and Islamabad JI Ameer Mian Muhammad Aslam termed the government’s decision as a drone attack on the country’s sovereignty and rendering support for accomplishment of Indian’s long desired dream of Akhand Bharat (Greater India).
