CPJ concerned over journalist’s murder
NEW YORK: The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), a New York-based independent watchdog, on Friday, expressed concern over the murder of Faisal Qureshi, an editor for the London Post, and called for an independent probe into his death. “CPJ is concerned by the emerging details of this case, which is being watched closely by the international community”, CPJ’s Asia programme coordinator Bob Dietz said in a statement. “Given the circumstances, we call for the appointment of an independent committee to investigate this murder,” he said. app
