PTCL to provide ICT services to DGK Cement

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has successfully managed to penetrate in cement industry for provisioning of its top of line corporate services.

According to the details, PTCL will be the provider of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) services to Dera Ghazi Khan (DG) Cement Company, one of the thriving businesses of Mansha Group. It will provide data centre based hosting services to be used as a disaster recovery (DR) site while connecting the DGC head office through a dedicated connectivity. PTCL will also provide internet services at DGC head office as well. With this win, PTCL corporate services have explored and stepped into a new market that was previously being served by other local operators.

Services of PTCL’s “Tier 3 certified Data Centre” Lahore will form the basis for provisioning of the DR site in a highly available infrastructure in terms of power, HVAC, security and all other Tier 3 plus data centre features, together with appropriate access links to the fully redundant self-healing backbone optical fibre network, higher level of security and technology support to DGC’s critical operations. Moreover, installation of high capacity SDH system at DGC head office will ensure that all the services can be provided through same platform without making changes in the set-up.
