Three more killed in Karachi

KARACHI: Three more people were killed in different incidents of violence in the city on Tuesday.

Police said 28-year-old Zahid Hussain and 18-year-old Abdul Raees were shot dead by unknown armed men in the limits of New Karachi industrial area.

They said Zahid was running a stall at Sector 11 near Apwa School where Raees reached for purchase when armed men opened fire. As a result, Zahid and Raees suffered bullet wounds and were rushed to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors pronounced both dead. Police said the affiliation of both victims with any political party was yet to be ascertained.

In another incident of firing, 25-year-old Nasir Baloch was shot dead by unidentified armed men in the remits of Chakiwara police station. The area residents said the deceased was the resident of Singo Lane and was shot dead near his house.
