24th National Women’s Hockey Championship: LWHA announces management of Lahore squad

LAHORE: The Lahore Women’s Hockey Association (LWHA) has announced the management for the Lahore women’s team that will take part in the 24th National Women’s Hockey Championship starting from December 6. The management was named after a LWHA executive meeting under the presidency of Ms Dr Azra Imtiaz on November 23. International player Ms Razia Malik will be the coach while Ms Farzana Rasool will assist her. Ms Talat Lubna of Wahdat Road College has been named as manager with Ms Fouzia from Shiekhupura School Club as her deputy. Mr Mohammad Yameen will be the advisor of the outfit.

For the selection of the Lahore team, a selection committee has been named: Ms Azra Imtiaz (chairperson), former Olympian Mr Anjum Saeed, Mr Yaqoob, Ms Nousheen Tahir, Ms Ghazala Tariq, Ms Abida Asim and Ms Robina Nasreen (members). All the LWHA affiliated units have been directed to come for the trials on December 3 at the National Hockey Stadium at 10:00 am.
