PTCL assures KCCI of cooperation in proper billing
KARACHI: Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) held talks with the Karachi based management of PTCL and indicated locations where telephone lines had been out of order for the last more than 3 to 5 years.
The KCCI team also said various complaints had been made in that connection but PTCL has never been cooperative with their customers.
During the meeting, chairman KCCI, Abdul Majeed Haji Muhammad highlighted that after privatisation of PTCL, its performance was getting worst gradually resulting in low profit. PTCL official, Walid Irshaid was approached to address the problems put forward by Khurram Saigal, chairman Communication of KCCI.
Khurram Saigal raised issue of excessive billing and arrears being imposed on members even if they had already paid the dues timely and suggested that Finance and Accounts Departments should eradicate errors of wrong billing which is compelling the customers to switch to other networks. staff report
