LSE sheds 13.47 points

LAHORE: The Lahore stock market witnessed a bearish trend on Thursday as the LSE 25-share index lost 13.47 points to close at 2,827.88 points as compared to the previous session’s 2,841.35 points. However, the total turnover witnessed an increase of 1.341 million shares 10.007 million shares as against 8.666 million shares. Of a total of 92 active scrips, only 42 moved up, 18 were negative and 32 remained unchanged. Pakistan Oilfields emerged as the top gainer of the day with an increase of Rs 3.08 in its share price to close at Rs 222.49. Oil and Gas Development Co remained the major loser as its share price decreased by Rs 1.75 per share to close at Rs 106.36. The Bank of Punjab emerged as the volume leader of the day with 3.622 million shares, followed by Pakistan PTA Limited with 1.102 million shares and Bank Alfalah with 0.929 million shares. app
