Punjab respect other provinces’ opinions, says Shahbaz
* Provincial govt to implement comprehensive reform package to initiate development in all sectors

ISLAMABAD: Punjab respects the needs and opinions of the other provinces and favours increasing the amount of resources allocated to these provinces, said Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
According to a press release, he was chairing a meeting at Punjab House regarding the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Ishaq Dar, Provincial Finance Minister Tanvir Ashraf Kaira, Secretary Finance Tariq Pasha, Chairman Planning and Development Sami Saeed, Member NFC Ghafoor Mirza and Financial Consultant Dr Ayesha Ghaus, attended the meeting.
The chief minister was briefed the progress so far with regard to the NFC Award and the recommendations formulated in this regard.
Shahbaz said the government was implementing a comprehensive reform package in all sectors and all available resources are being spent on the improvement of infrastructure, welfare of the masses and development projects.
The meeting also discussed various issues including financial matters, economic situation and social needs. Provincial Finance Minister Tanvir Ashraf Kaira gave a detailed briefing on the resources required for various development projects.
