CDGR finalises cleanliness, security plan for Eid
RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi District Nazim Raja Javed Ikhlas on Monday said like the previous year, the elaborate arrangements have been made to ensure cleanliness and to remove offal and other remains of sacrificial animals during Eidul Azha. Talking to this news agency, he said City District Government Rawalpindi (CDGR) had deputed Executive District Officer, Municipal Services and District Coordination Officer to monitor the staff deployed for this purpose round the clock. He said before Eid prayers, senior security officers deputed outside the mosques would clear the mosques where Eid congregation would be held. Ikhlas said to ensure foolproof security arrangement, the metal detectors would be provided to Mohallah committees to check every persons coming into mosques. He said senior officials would be available all the time and quick information system would be made available. He said the services of EDO Municipal Services, Tehsil Municipals and Officials of the District Government would be available during all three days of Eidul Azha. He said the availability of doctors and emergency services in all hospitals would be made possible and ambulances would also be ready to meet any emergency situation. He said Eid was a sacred occasion and asked the people to pray for unity and solidarity of the country. Ikhlas said every citizen should keep eye on his surrounding to protect himself and others from any act of terrorism. app
