5-day Urdu moot concludes in Karachi

LAHORE: The International Urdu Conference concluded on Saturday in Karachi with the release of a book on the literary work of novelist Qurratulain Hyder.

A private TV channel reported that the conference started on Tuesday on the premises of the Karachi Arts Council to pay tribute to Urdu language. Several short story writers, poets, novelists and intellectuals participated in the conference. The channel reported that the conference aimed at paving the way for the promotion of the language. The scholars also gave suggestions to promote the language internationally.
