Drone strike kills 8 in North Waziristan

MIRANSHAH: A US drone strike on a compound in North Waziristan killed eight Taliban on Friday. Two Taliban were also injured in the attack on the building located in Michi Khel village of Mir Ali tehsil, 18 kilometres east of agency headquarters Miranshah. Also, the political administration clamped a curfew from Miranshah to Datta Khel. The Associated Press reported that the targeted compound was owned by two brothers and the Taliban frequently visited the building. Ahmed Nawaz Dawar, a local tribesman, said the Taliban buried those killed and took the wounded to a hospital. haji mujtaba/ap
