PbBC elections today

LAHORE: The annual elections of the Punjab Bar Council (PbBC) will be held today (Saturday) to elect 75 new members for the next four years. A total of 60, 000 voters from across the Punjab would exercise their right to vote. In the provincial metropolis, 61 candidates, including three women, are contesting the election for 16 seats. The polling will be held from 9am to 4pm at the Judicial Complex, Sessions Court. The council consists of the advocate general of the province as ex-officio chairman and the members are elected by advocates across the province. staff report
