All residents of Sindh invited to AT long march
KARACHI: The Awami Tehreek (AT) has invited all non-Sindhi speaking communities settled in Karachi to join the long march organised by the party, for securing rights of Sindh including their due share in the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award. Speaking at a press conference held at Karachi Press Club on Friday, the newly elected president of the party, Ayaz Latif Palijo, said that other communities residing in Karachi should also participate in the long march by considering it their own struggle. Syed Ghulam Shah, Sartaj Chandio, Mazhar Rahujo and other party leaders also accompanied him on the occasion. Palijo said other parties including Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz, Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party, Sindh United Party, PPP-SB, and JUI- F, also supported the long march that started on October 8 from Kandhkot to denounce injustices against Sindh. He claimed that those PPP workers, who consider they have been “pushed to the wall”, were also supporting the long march. staff report
