Musharraf is PPP’s biggest enemy, says Raja Riaz

LAHORE: Former president Gen (r) Pervez Musharraf is the biggest enemy of the Pakistan People’s Party, Punjab Senior Minister Raja Riaz Ahmed said, adding the dictator must be punished for his unconstitutional decisions, a private TV channel reported on Thursday.

Speaking on the Business Plus programme ‘Ghulam Hussain Kay Saath’, Riaz said the PPP government inherited socio-economic turmoil from the previous regime, adding that the government was doing its best to provide relief to the people. He said the government had managed to reduce load shedding. Riaz said the PPP government would complete its constitutional term and all propaganda from anti-democratic forces would prove futile. He said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leadership supported the PPP in its fight for democracy in the country.

To a question, he said President Asif Ali Zardari had been imprisoned for over nine years, yet none of the charges against him were proven, adding all the cases were politically motivated. daily times monitor
