Eid cattle market established in I-11/2

ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Thursday set up a makeshift cattle market in I-11/2 for Eidul Fitr. According a spokesman for the CDA, arrangements have been in place for smooth electric and water supply, proper security and cleanliness in the market. He said the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration had cooperated with the CDA for the cattle market’s establishment. The spokesman said vendors wouldn’t be allowed to sell sacrificial animals in places other than the I-11/2 cattle market. He said anyone found selling animals elsewhere would be fined and their animals could also be seized. The spokesman said the CDA had formed a special team consisting of the Enforcement and Environment Directorate staff to enforce ban on the sacrificial animals’ sale in the city’s residential areas. app
