Historic photos of Liaquat Ali Khan put on display
ISLAMABAD: A photographic exhibition of Liaquat Ali Khan opened here on Wednesday at Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) in which some 80 rare photos of different modes of Liaquat Ali Khan’s life were depicted. The three-day event was organised by Quaid-e-Millat Liaquat Ali Khan Memorial Committee to pay tributes to him. The most iconic photograph is the one where Liaquat Ali Khan is addressing the Constituent Assembly whereas Quaid-e-Azam is sitting next to him. However, the rare collection includes images of Liaquat Ali Khan during a discussion with the Grand Mufti of Palestine, receiving a play record of the national anthem and arriving to address the first government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir with Sardar Muhammed Ibrahim by his side. Paying tributes to Shaheed-e-Millat, general secretary of the committee, Mahfoozun Nabi Khan, said during the tenure of Liaquat Ali Khan, three surplus budgets were presented and four public sector universities were established. app
