LAHORE: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hanif Abbassi has said that the security forces of Pakistan are playing a commendable role by protecting the national integrity of Pakistan. While talking to a private TV channel on Tuesday, he said he wants the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) to flourish in Pakistan.
In an interview with Shahzeb Khanzada in his programme ‘News Line’, Abbassi said that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has pressed the PPP to accept its demand on local bodies through its stance on the Kerry-Lugar bill. He said presentation of any issue in the parliament brings the stance of political parties on those issue.
Answering a question, Abbassi said the PML-N was offered a withdrawal of all cases and references against it’s leaders if it stepped back from the judges’ issue, but the PML-N has not stepped back from its stance. daily times monitor
