KCCI lauds Sindh govt for signing 2 agreements

KARACHI: President, Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Abdul Majid Haji Muhammad has lauded the efforts of Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh on Investment, Muhammad Zubair Motiwala for signing two agreements under Public Private Partnership viz Hyderabad-Mirpur Khas Dual Carriage Highway and Thar Coal Energy Project.

President KCCI, Abdul Majid focused that both ventures hold significance and will prove as milestone for prosperity and development of Sindh and Pakistan. The Hyderabad-Mirpur Khas Dual Carriage Highway would reduce the traveling time between two cities and benefit the commuters, business-travelers and the residents of the areas. Commodities would be swiftly transported between the two cities and to other destinations, he added.

President KCCI, Abdul Majid, commenting on the Thar Coal Energy Project voiced that the said project was neglected since the inception of Pakistan. He paid tribute to the Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh on Investment, Muhammad Zubair Motiwala for taking personal interests in the said project and taking prompt measures under Public Private Partnership to motivate the famous international consortium and signing the agreement to execute the long-awaited project. Abdul Majid articulated that the execution of Thar Coal Energy Project has brought a sigh of relief and it will control and curtail the energy crisis in Pakistan. It will simultaneously provide cheaper energy as compared to the contemporary energy solutions available in Pakistan. staff report
