PM’s wife to represent country in 2nd NAM First Ladies Summit
ISLAMABAD: Fauzia Gilani, wife of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, will represent Pakistan at the 2nd Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) First Ladies Summit to be held in Rome on November 15. Fauzia, who leaves for Italy on Saturday, will also address the summit being held in conjunction with the World Food Summit at the FAO Headquarters. The summit aims at addressing the many aspects of hunger and malnutrition, and identifying concrete steps that NAM first ladies could play to address these issues, including the exchange of national experiences in ensuring women's access to resources, particularly land and credit, as well as human capital and knowledge. staff report
